Bianca is a recent graduate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She received her Bachelor’s of Psychology with a Minor in Nonprofit Leadership Studies, which has led her to receive her Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential, a nationally recognized certificate. She previously served as a Summer AmeriCorps VISTA in 2015 as well as 2016 at Our House before transitioning into her year-long position as the Children’s Programs VISTA. She chose Our House because she was instantly compelled by their Mission and their effectual programs; it was visible that they were making a profound impact and that they were combating homelessness successfully. She hopes to become more conscientious to the homeless population and to generate more pertinent ideas and strategies that will improve this major issue in Arkansas. Her hobbies include reading, crafts, volunteering, and salsa dancing! She believes that the camaraderie at Our House has been the most rewarding thing about serving here. The Administration, Staff, and National Service Members all work as a giant team that is readily available to help and support one another.
