501-374-7383 ext 201 Georgia celebrated her eleven year anniversary as Executive Director of Our House on September 1, 2016.  Under her leadership, Our House has enjoyed dramatic growth in its programs, budget, staff, facilities, client volume, and mission impact. Georgia was named “Nonprofit Executive of the Year” in 2011, and Our House was named “Nonprofit Organization of the Year” in 2015. Our House is increasingly recognized as a model program, contributing to national conversations around homelessness, garnering national news coverage, and attracting investments from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and many other out-of-state funders. Georgia recently led a process to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for Our House’s next five years, with the goal of building on this momentum and increasing Our House’s impact. Our House empowers homeless and near-homeless families and individuals to succeed in the workforce, in school, and in life through hard work, wise decision-making, and active participation in the community.  Active in our community, Georgia serves on a variety of boards, is a foster and adoptive parent, and has become very involved in bettering our state’s foster care system.  She is married to Dominik Mjartan, CEO of Southern Bancorp Community Partners.  Together, they have three children all under the age of three. Georgia holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a master’s degree in Public Affairs and Political Communications from the University of Ulster in the UK, and a post-graduate diploma from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Georgia was one of twelve Americans awarded the George J. Blake Tierney - Youth Program AmeriCorps
Blake Tierney

VISTA Leader

501-374-7383 ext 113 After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Hendrix College in 2014, Blake joined the Our House team as a Summer VISTA with the Our Club Youth Program. Blake knew he wanted his career to revolve around serving others, especially youth, in the community and helping them become their best selves. He could imagine Our House in that career path, especially through the model of previous Hendrix alumni serving here. Our House was the best start that he could have imagined; here, he has made an impact, joined a family, and grew into his own. His goal this term is to leave Our House with a streamlined system of recruiting, retaining, and raising up National Service Members. Outside of his service, he can be found engaging in a variety of athletic activities (Brazilian jiu-jitsu, swimming, dancing, cycling, soccer) or relaxing with friends and family around a movie, video game, or board game. In addition, he serves with a number of other organizations including the Multi-Faith Youth Group, Second Presbyterian Church, and Mercy Community Church of Little Rock.
