mission

Our House empowers homeless and near-homeless families and individuals to succeed in the workforce, in school, and in life through hard work, wise decision-making, and active participation in the community.

over 30 YEARS OF HOPE

Since 1987, Our House has provided a pathway out of homelessness for families and individuals in central Arkansas. Over the past three decades, the contributions of thousands of dedicated people from all parts of the community have built Our House into a program that is having a lasting impact on hundreds of lives each year.

A TWO GENERATION APPROACH

Our House works equally with parents and children to help whole families build the skills, resources, and confidence to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their highest goals in life. Children thrive in our Children’s Center after-school and developmental programs.

SUCCESS IN THE WORKFORCE

Full-time employment is at the cornerstone of our vision for empowering families and individuals to achieve lasting self-sufficiency and independence. Our Career Center provides extensive resources to help adults find jobs and build fulfilling careers. We partner with local employers who hire our clients and contribute to our training programs. We provide financial skills training to help families make the most of their income.
