Summer is here, and that means our Children’s Center is booming with children participating in summer programming! In Our Club, our out-of-school time program, more than 90 school-aged youth have access to tutoring, literacy resources, STEM programming, and much more on school-out days. Our Club creates a safe place for the growth and wellbeing of children who face significant barriers to success like housing and financial instability, homelessness, and generational poverty. Zaniyah is just one of our first grade students that is able to flourish in Our Club. Each week, Zaniyah receives one-on-one literacy tutoring in addition to homework help. Consistent weekly schedules in Our Club allows youth like Zaniyah to create routines that lead to thriving stability. So far, Zaniyah has shown significant improvement with a 64-point increase in her overall literacy composite score!
