BRIGHT BEGINNINGS

Bright Beginnings is an accredited Child Development Center that serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our mission is to provide children with the highest quality early education and to support the whole family in achieving their goals. We serve over 60 children daily in a Better Beginnings licensed child care facility. Bright Beginnings’ curriculum promotes school readiness and enhances the children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Our experienced teachers and AmeriCorps members are committed to providing high quality, developmentally appropriate instruction to create a strong foundation for all of our students. We provide a structured daily schedule which includes time for small and large group activities, music, art, large and small motor development, and outdoor play. Bright Beginnings implements a two-generation approach to services, where we actively engage with parents through Family Fun Nights and parent-teacher conferences to promote their children’s confidence and a true love of learning.

curriculum

Bright Beginnings implements a comprehensive curriculum based on the Arkansas Child Development and Early Learning Standards which promotes school readiness and enhances the children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.

CONSCIOUS DISCIPLINE

The Bright Beginnings staff has been trained in Conscious Discipline – a comprehensive, evidence-based, self-regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning and discipline. Conscious Discipline is a way of organizing our classrooms around the concept of a School Family, where each child learns the skills needed to successfully manage life tasks such as learning, communicating effectively, and getting along with others.

Bright Beginnings is a NAEYC accredited and licensed Better Beginnings Level 6 childcare center.

“Brooklyn used to have so much anxiety; she would cry all day for mom. Stability is good for kids, and I can see now that she is happier, smarter, and goofier. She loves helping and sharing with other kids in her class.”
