FAQ
HOUSING
Beds are available on a first come, first serve basis. You must come to campus at 302 E Roosevelt Road to claim your bed. You may call our intake desk at 501-374-7383 ext. 221 to check if a bed is open. This number receives a high volume of calls, so please call back if no one answers. Bed availability changes often, so we encourage you to call daily at 8 am to check if a bed has opened up.
All residents in our Housing programs are required to work 32 hours a week. You will have 21 days to find a job after you check into our Shelter. An abundance of assistance is available in our Career Center to help our residents find employment.
We have separate dormitories for men and women. Children (including boys under the age of 18) are allowed to stay in our women’s dormitory with their mother. Children are not allowed in our men’s dormitory; therefore, single fathers will be automatically admitted to the Family House, our transitional housing program.

donations
Donations of large items like furniture can be scheduled to be picked by our Resale Store. Call 501-374-7383 ext. 401 to arrange a pickup. Pickups can also be arranged under special circumstances.
In general, items should be brought to our Resale Stores because we have limited space to process items on campus. Food donations can be brought directly to our campus. Items on our Wish List which are posted on our social media can also be brought directly to campus. You can also order items directly off our Amazon Wish List and your purchase will be sent straight to campus.
Every other Wednesday we post a Wish List on our social media. These items are the ones we have the greatest need for at the time. These items can be brought directly to our campus. We also maintain Amazon Wish Lists for needed items.
Yes! Our Resale Stores are completely operated by Our House and are even staffed by our clients who are working in a job training program. Because we have limited space on our campus, most donations are first brought to our stores to be processed and sorted. A staff member will transport items back to campus every week to bring to our clients. Our clients can also shop for free at our stores, and sales from the stores support Our House programs.
Yes! We can accept food that is not expired on campus. Please call our Volunteer Manager beforehand at 501-374-7383 ext. 184 to arrange for someone to accept your donation.
