Originally from Arkansas, Ashley found herself homeless with her three children while living in Orlando, FL, so she moved back to live with relatives. She heard about Our House from a relative and was immediately introduced to Ruthie, her CAFSI case manager. Ashley has received wrap-around services at Our House, including help with food, rent, and Christmas. Through a partnership with MHA and Our House, Ashley was able to move to Section 8 housing. She says that Our House supports clients in “anything you could think of when it comes to your livelihood.” Ashley has also been able to utilize Our House’s mental health services and parenting classes. Of Ashley’s three kids, her older two children have been involved in Our Club, and her youngest child is enrolled in Little Learners.
During the pandemic, Ashley has been working from home for Teletech, a subsidiary of FedEx, and ensuring her sons succeed in virtual school. A rockstar mom, Ashley works so hard to keep her family afloat and hasn’t missed a beat in providing support for her kids.
