When we first highlighted Hanna over a year ago, she was excelling in our job training program and had just moved up from the Shelter into our transitional Family House. Now, we are excited to say that Hanna has completed a two year stay in our Housing programs, and with the rental history and references from Our House, she is moving into her dream apartment! Hanna has saved up money to purchase a vehicle, and she is loving her position as a Team Lead at Community Bakery, where she has worked for almost a year. Hanna is very excited to get a pet in her new space and to be located near The Innovation Hub, where she continues to take classes after participating in a scholarship program. Hanna has also had the honor of serving on the Pulaski County advisory board for the upcoming tiny-home project; she was even able to attend a 3-day symposium in Texas to learn about a similar project. “If it wasn’t for the community of people around me, I wouldn’t have made it this far,” Hannah says, “because I’ve tried before and failed. This time, the love and support made all the difference.”
