LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – It’s the time of year where caps and gowns are handed out and pomp and circumstance rings in our ears.

Graduation season is upon us and it’s a time to celebrate what students have learned.

For a group of 4-year-olds in Little Rock, it’s a time to celebrate themselves, but also their family’s accomplishments.

A full year of learning, all comes down to this.

“Raise your hand if you’re going to go to big kid school,” says Natalie Baber.

These 4-year-olds are practicing for their pre-K graduation from the Our House Little Learners in Little Rock.

“We have a better beginnings 3 rated child care center,” says Childcare Manager, Natalie Baber.

66 kids from infants to pre-KĀ are a part of the school.

“We try to aline ourselves with Little Rock School District and they are very much ready for kindergarten when they leave.

Little Learners prepares kids for the next step, as Our House prepares the parents for the next step too.

The mission of Our House is to help families out of homelessness, and this school is apart of that.

“We invest in the children’s lives too and help them prepare to grow and succeed in school and achieve their fullest potential in life,” says Ben Goodwin, executive director of Our House.

“It’s making a difference and theses kids are ready,” says Natalie Baber. “We take these sweet kids and we have such a dedicated team that gives their blood sweat and tears 50 plus hours a week to make sure these kids have the best chance at life.

A chance they might not have had, had it not been for their parents who wanted to do better for them.

Graduation is in a few weeks, but a fundraiser is being held tonight in Little Rock to help the families of Our House today and throughout the year.
