Little Rock, Ark. — Our House is excited to announce the upcoming relocation of its Resale Store & Donation Center to a new, larger facility at 825 N University Avenue in Little Rock, formerly the Knowledge Tree building. Our House plans to open the new location in May.

To accommodate the move, the current Markham Street store will close during the transition. Our House’s North Little Rock location at 4653 JFK Blvd will remain open and continue serving the community without interruption.

The new University Avenue site offers increased visibility and accessibility, making it easier than ever for shoppers and donors to support Our House’s mission. With its high-traffic location and expanded space, the facility will enhance both the retail experience and the efficiency of donation processing.

“Our new location represents an exciting step forward for Our House,” said Ben Goodwin, Executive Director of Our House. “With greater visibility and more space, we can welcome more shoppers and donors while also expanding opportunities for the individuals in our job training programs. This move allows us to better connect people not only to our stores, but to the full range of resources and services Our House provides.”

Our House’s stores play a vital role in the organization’s workforce development efforts. Individuals participating in a 9-month job training program gain hands-on experience in retail operations, customer service, and logistics while working in the stores, building skills that help them secure long-term employment and financial stability.

The new facility will also include a larger, more efficient donation center, allowing staff, trainees, and volunteers to process contributions more effectively and keep shelves stocked with affordable items for the community. The new location will also serve as another touchpoint for connecting individuals and families to Our House’s comprehensive programs, including housing, employment assistance, and supportive services.
