LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Our House Arkansas announced Thursday a new partnership with multiple agencies, including First Security Bank and Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund.

The goal is to get 150 Our House clients enrolled in bank accounts.

It would also equip them with financial literacy skills, allowing them to build wealth and prepare for the future.

“If we can help people access bank accounts, that can be one small, but important piece of a foundation for broader financial security and family stability that we hope to empower all of our clients to achieve,” says Ben Goodwin, the Executive Director of Our House.

The program enrolled 11 people into new accounts just following the announcement.

Organizers believe the initiative is off to a very promising start.
