Little Rock, AR – Our House Executive Director Ben Goodwin, organization members and contributors broke ground on Thursday for a 27,000 square-foot expansion. Donors large and small chipped in for the $16 million expansion to Our House, a successful Little Rock homelessness-assistance organization.

“We believe in the people that we’re here to serve,” Goodwin said. “We believe that their success is our success, and we’re here to help them and support them every step of the way.”

Goodwin welcomed the surplus of attendees to the groundbreaking and lunch event — but rather than speak of the specifics included in the expansion (that can be read about later, he said), Goodwin focused on the efforts that the staff and donors made, even though the struggles of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“All of the 35 years of energy our community has poured into this — all the planning, all the heart, the things our team has built,” Goodwin said. “They believed in it, and they said, ‘We will figure this out.’”
