Our House reimagined its annual Home for the Holidays fundraiser this year. Held on Nov. 21, the new holiday celebration was titled Home for the Holidays: Under the Stars and held in the parking lot of War Memorial Stadium to create a safe physically distanced evening.

The event was a family-friendly drive-in with a concert by local musicians Brae Leni and the Blackout and a showing of the movie “Home Alone.” Attendees could enjoy snacks from concession stands and a hot chocolate bar.

Our House is a nonprofit agency that works to empower homeless and near-homeless families and individuals in Central Arkansas to succeed in the workforce, in school, and in life through hard work, wise decision-making, and active participation in the community, according to the Our House website.

Guests heard from co-chairmen Callie and David Gutierrez and executive director Ben Goodwin. The evening was also a chance to recognize the hard work and perseverance of Our House families who have exemplified the shelter’s mission.
