LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — More than 100 working homeless in Little Rock are getting the resources they need to stay healthy.

Our House held its 5th Annual Healthcare and Wellness Day where they provided health screenings for residents on campus.

Those who participated had a full day of health activities to choose from, whether it was having their blood pressures checked, getting flu shots or working up a sweat in a fitness class.

The event is hosted each year to connect the working homeless to physicians.

“As we have all these service providers come here on campus, they are able to provide opportunities for them to get resources, not only to get same-day service but also to provide service for them throughout the year,” says Breanne McLendon, the Our House career center manager.

This is the fifth year for the Health and Wellness Day.

Our House programs help nearly 2,000 people each year.
