Our House Has Grand Opening for Thrift Store

In Arkansas

by Lauren James

There’s a new place to shop at and donate to in central Arkansas.

The charity Our House had its grand opening of its My Favorite Thrift Store– the third location in the area– at 605 W. Main St., Jacksonville, last weekend.

When you shop at My Favorite Thrift Store, the money you spend goes to Our House to help feed, teach and care for the men, women and children it serves. People can also donate whatever clutters their closet. By contributing your gently used items, you can make a significant impact in your community.

All of your donations are tax deductible and you will receive a tax receipt for your donations. My Favorite Thrift Store is also available to setup and manage a garage sale or estate sale.

The store is still accepting donations for its grand opening with furniture, clothing and houseware in high demand. For more information about donations and pick-ups, call Kevin Carson at (501) 772-5139.

Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Our House provides the working homeless – individuals and families – with shelter, housing, job training, education, childcare and summer youth programs, in order to equip them with the skills to be successful in the workforce, the community and their own families.
